Reconstruction Era is a start up music production company that specializes in drum programming, digital audio mixing and song remixes, encompassing a broad range of musical genres that consist of Hip Hop, R&B, Neo-Soul, Rock and Nu-Jazz. Mr. Glen Alexander (Owner/Producer) is responsible for the quality of production within the company. “My missions is to challenge the norm of what is good music and make you think,” says Glen Alexander. Feeling a strong need for more in depth knowledge, he took music theory his senior year in high school studying classical music and composers, learning the basic fundementals in which music is built upon. Reconstruction Era, so named by Glen himself after the period in American history where freed African-American slaves began taking political office and running their own communities before racial segregation and disenfranchisement was established between the mid 1800’s and the early 1900’s.
